So, the callback was yesterday, Febr. 28, Sunday, and I did have to fight to be able to take a day off work just to make it there, which is another story in itself. But anyways, I made beef paprikash and some home made noodles. They did not like my food at all. Everything got criticized. Even the dish I put the paprikash in. I just kept smiling, and said thank you, I was very professional. But you know what? My boyfriend loved the beef paprikash, and he was very happy for it, and that's all that counts for me.
On a second note here, I am already proud of myself, because there were only about 30 people there out...
Yay! I got a phone call yesterday from the CD of Master Chef that I auditioned for back in January, I guess I made it to the second round of auditions. I am so proud of myself right now. Really. There were at least 500 people at the audition when I went, my number was 300 something. And that was just in LA. They went to a bunch of other cities as well. I don’t know how many people got call backs, but it had to be a small number, because the casting director said that Gordon Ramsey himself would be tasting my food this time.
Originally, I sent in a tape, but they didn’t respond to that. However, I...
Ok, I am officially scared now. I just got cast in this new show yesterday as a replacement, and WE'RE OPENING IN 3 DAYS! Oh no. I better be able to learn my lines fast. Ok, here's the info:

Wow. I got cast in a new show, directed by Steven Helgoth at The Underground Theater. The play is Marat/Sade by Peter Weiss, and I am playing Coulmier's wife, who is in charge of an Asylum. I am currently in rehearsals, but the show is opening next week on Thursday. Which means, that I'll have to take a break from Eavesdropper for the next three weeks.
Check back in a few days for the exact show info, and more updates.
Until then here are my Eavesdropper postcards. Let me know which one you like more.
The industry nights are officially over, but the show continues to run at The Underground Theater, on Friday and Saturday nights at 8 Pm. By now, I have played three different parts in the show: Jan, Marsha, and Cindy. My favorite is still Jan, the mean chick shrink.
Address: 1312 N Wilton Place, Hollywood, CA, 90028
Here's a taste from the show: (I'm the floating head in the black background)
An uninvited party guest hides behind the shower curtain and eavesdrops on the private moments and conversations of the colorful party guests--and becomes the accidental...
1. It is good business to go out of my way for my clients.(Audience, CDs, Directors, etc.) 2. Before I meet industry people, I need to prepare by writing the things down I could talk about, in case I don't know what to say. 3. Arriving early means that I'll have extra time later on.
4. I am funny. (I never really thought that before) 5. I shouldn't take a job for granted, because I can always get laid off, no matter how long I've been there. 6. It is important to remember people's names....

This is a student film I did last year for The Los Angeles Film School, with Justin Paige. It’s a short, but funny scene from the movie, Trainspotting, in which I play one of the interviewers. I only had a couple of lines, but it was really fun to do.
The Berubian Theater Company is opening William Shakespeare’s The Taming of the Shrew on July 12, 2008 at 8 Pm. The classical play is being portrayed as a modern story, set in present time, Los Angeles. The characters of this enthralling tale come from different walks of life, and different ethnicities, therefore they truly represent the typical L.A. melting pot. The already sunny streets of the city get heated up even more, when Baptista decides to find eligible bachelors for her two daughters. It’s time to get them out of the house. But who’s going to marry who, and why? Thus the quest for true love -and money- begins.
Girlesque is a show I did last winter at The Next Stage Theater. It was written and directed by Chris Berube, and I played a foreign princess, named Jasmin. This clip was recorded during a rehearsal in December 2007. It's teaser for the show. I'm the girl in the orange pants. Enjoy!
My friend, Jose Perez-Maxwell, who has directed me in his short film: Schindler's List, and the Dockers spec commercial last month, recorded this show, Sunday, June 15th, 2008. I edited a few clips together to make a short teaser. Here they are on youtube:
This is my favorite picture of myself. It was taken the first year, when I came to America, when I was still just a teenager. Standing in New York on Time Square was like a dream come true. This was the first time in my life when I realized that I can do anything I want, that there are no limits.
When I first started talking to people about coming here, they all thought I was crazy. Back in Hungary this would be something you could run after all your life and never achieve. I didn’t know anybody here, I didn’t speak much English, and I didn’t have money. I could take care of the “speaking English”...
This is the latest thing I shot with my friends on a sunny afternoon in May at Santa Monica beach. (Oh, the sunset was beautiful...) It's a spec commercial for Dockers for a competition, which we entered on May 29th. I'm crossing my fingers.
I wasn't in the show just yet, when it got reviewed, but I'm sure very happy to be in it now. So here's what the LA Times said about The Dark Side of the Moon!
Why fritter and waste the hours in an offhand way by merely listening to "The Dark Side of the Moon" when you can see it accompanied by an original dance/movement performance piece? Such is the gauntlet thrown down by Berubians Theatre Company with its ensemble-developed no-frills workshop production that sets out to physicalize the archetypal themes of conflict, insanity, aging, death and resurrection in Pink Floyd's signature 1973 concept album....
